Job Summary
As an experienced Technician at Ohio Peterbilt, you'll be at the forefront of diagnosing failures and recommending effective repair solutions. You'll perform repairs precisely and efficiently, adhering to dealership and factory standards. Under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, you’ll work primarily on Peterbilt vehicles, receiving assignments from the Service Writer/Advisor. You’ll also interact with dealership personnel, manufacturer representatives, and customers and have the opportunity to mentor less-experienced technicians. Staying informed about and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines, is crucial. Prioritize safety in all shop and vehicle activities, report any safety issues immediately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. If anything changes in the appearance or condition of a vehicle, report it to department management immediately.

Job Qualifications
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as is a vocational diploma or diesel or truck repair degree.
- Experience: Four to six years of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Licenses: A CDL license is recommended; a valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include MX Engine, Cummins Heavy Duty, Cummins Mid-Range, Allison Transmission, or Eaton Transmission.
Physical Requirements
- Manual Dexterity: Use hands to handle, feel, and reach regularly.
- Mobility: Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch; occasionally required to sit.
- Strength: Must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: The noise level can vary from quiet in office settings to moderate or loud in other situations, with sudden loud noises possible.
