Volt is hiring a
Foundry Quality Manager for our client in
Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Our client is an industry leader in their field using up to date latest technologies. In this role you will serve as the Quality Manager for a foundry and castings job shop.
As a
Foundry Quality Manager you will:
- Have quality engineering and lean manufacturing responsibilities across the shop.
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan
- The Quality Manager will initiate improvements to current manufacturing methods / processes by utilizing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- The Quality Manager has responsibility to provide support for metallurgical quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and materials technology
- To be successful, you will need to ensure conformity to metallurgical processes and requirements, day to day management of quality resources, and ensure the team is trained and growing with experiences
- You will provide leadership to improve lab safety, efficiency, and employee engagement
- Leading the development and implementation of corrective action and preventive measures to achieve quality targets
- Leading, managing and developing multiple teams, team leaders, quality specialists and inspectors to assure that quality standards are met
- Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.
This is a
full time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering Technology or other engineering degrees with relevant foundry experience
- 5+ years experience working in a foundry/smaller scale castings shop
- Experience in Metallurgical lab testing and dye penetrant testing
- Proficiency with Machining principles and equipment
- Previous Supervisory Experience Preferred
- Quality Engineering background required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other general software packages
Salary is between
$85000.00-110000.00 per year.
