Overview:
Salary details based on experience: $60/hr. - $64/hr.

Shift/Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Under occasional supervision, the Ride Electrical Foreperson reports to the Ride Electrical Manager and is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing rides and electrical equipment as assigned throughout the Park. Performs other related duties as required, as well as oversees a team of electricians.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing and/or carpentry maintenance work as required.
- Operates rides as necessary during Park staff shortages
- Operates a vehicle, boom truck, rides, Cushman cart, overhead crane, fork lift, man lift, air compressor, diagnostic equipment, motors and pumps, various other shop equipment, and a variety of office equipment such as a computer, telephone, two‑way radio.
- Refers to policies and procedure manuals, maintenance manuals, technical manuals and diagrams, ride manuals, vendor catalogs, codes and regulations, etc.
- Prepares and/or maintains inspection sheets, daily work records, downtime records, electrical diagrams, electrical readings, modification orders, various other reports, records, logs, etc.
- Receives and reviews various records and reports including inspection records, electrical diagrams, work orders, ride modification forms, purchase orders, various logs, etc.
- Attends workshops, meetings, training, etc., to stay abreast of industry trends, products and resources and to maintain/develop necessary skills.
- Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from employees and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
- Maintains assigned equipment in a safe and proper working condition; maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs all work in accordance with department policies and procedures, regulations, plans and specifications, and standards of quality and safety.
- Orders and assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, parts and materials.
- Works with other departments on repairs and maintenance projects as appropriate.
- Supervises the work of subordinate crew members; supervisory duties include instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards and coordinating activities. Offers training, advice and assistance as needed.
- Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date maintenance records; prepares maintenance reports as required.
- Reviews technical documents, blueprints, schematics, catalogs, etc., as needed to support ride maintenance, repair and rehabilitation work.
- Rehabilitates rides as needed.
- Modifies electrical/electronic systems as needed to ensure ride safety and efficiency.
- Installs electrical conduit and wiring; cleans electrical equipment and components; maintains controls on rides; maintains ride lighting.
- Assists with PLC programming and maintenance.
- Diagnoses electrical problems and initiates required repair work.
- Responds to work orders and trouble calls in a timely manner.
- Performs and leads assigned crew in the inspection, maintenance and repair of rides, ride control systems and other equipment as assigned.
- Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all park rides. Reviews the work of subordinate crew members.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a vocational/technical degree in electrical systems.
- At least 6-8 years of prior experience as a Sr. Electrician or Journeyman.
- At least 3 years of supervisor/leadership experience.
- Must be comfortable working at heights up to 225ft.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Valid Driver's License.
