Hardware Mechanical Engineer
Location: Middletown, RI
Clearance: DOD Secret Clearance Preferred
Rate: $55 to $66 an hour with partial benefits

Impact:
Tactical Hardware Mechanical Engineer who is part of a team that builds and tests a torpedo tube deployment system capable of launching payloads from a submarine platform.
Skills, Ability, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
- Over 8 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Advanced proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings – Creo 8 ideal, Solidworks
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards including ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 Standards
- Ability to writing technical papers and proposals
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
Preferred Skills, Ability, and Experience:
- Design of electro-mechanical systems capable of surviving harsh environmental conditions (shock, vibration, temperature)
- Experience performing structural and thermal analyses to meet submarine environmental requirements.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or naturalization is required.
