Job Title: Hardware Validation Engineer
Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94089– 5 day's on-site
Job Duration: 6+ Months (Contract to hire)
Pay Rate: $60/hr to $67/hr
Job Description:
Mission:
- The Hardware Validation Engineer will be a member of the hardware validation team with responsibilities for the test and validation of the analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems for products.
- This will require close cooperation with the design, validation and test automation team.
Day to Day:
- You will work at the integrated circuit and product systems level. In this role, you will:
- Work with design teams to develop validation plans
- Execute hands-on validation in a lab environment
- Perform manual test setups using common lab equipment
- Run automated testing using various test platforms and test suites.
- Review and analyze test reports to identify design or test set up issues
- Basic scripting knowledge
- Perform functional verification of electrical subsystems
- Debug/tune of custom hardware
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related filed or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of overall experience in validation/test experience
- Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment
- Experience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology and proficiency in operating common lab equipment
- Experience with test automation with background in scripting
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Experience with EE fundamentals
Pluses:
- Experience with audio, power supplies, video, cameras, I2C/SPI/UART buses, and highspeed electrical signal characterization
- Automation experience (i.e. shell, Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Experience with battery powered, wireless, embedded HW/SW consumer devices
