SUMMARY
The Data Architect will be responsible for designing data pipelines and databases, operating and evolving existing Business Intelligence platforms, ETL processes, and integrations. This crucial role will focus on ensuring data quality and effective operation of data feeds across business applications, as well as enhancing, maintaining, and developing our business intelligence platform's architecture, support, maintenance, and improvement. The candidate will be responsible for working closely with external team members and stakeholders to lead and assist with daily platform operation activities. Moreover, the role involves proactive coordination with other team members for platform architecture changes, along with the maintenance of documentation for architecture, test cases, integration specifications, and all necessary materials for quality and compliance, including creating all support documents required for audit. This position will report to the ERP Manager and will work with respective subject matter experts as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, additional duties may be assigned:
- Lead the architecture, maintenance, and improvement of our business intelligence (BI) platform, emphasizing optimization for effective queries, data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Collaborate with third-party service providers in supporting the operation of cloud-based solutions and related virtual infrastructure
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and ensure platform infrastructure and resources are secure and compliant with the organization's standards and practices.
- Define and implement business data reporting and analysis requirements to enhance accuracy and integrity.
- Coordinate with operations and department leads to identify new data requirements, analysis strategies and reporting mechanisms.
- Drive the design, implementation, and operation of effective controls for integrations and data feeds between the ERP and other business applications
- Conduct data quality assessments and implement measures to enhance accuracy and integrity.
- Leverage expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and mining to drive insights and decision-making.
- Recommend enhancements and modifications to optimize business intelligence processes.
- Write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. Oracle, MSSQL).
- Analyze user information needs and design and author reports involving business data using Jasper.
- Troubleshoot code, research root causes, document solutions, and communicate to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior, encourages ethical behavior in others, supports ethical decisions and actively seeks appropriate resolution to potential ethical conflicts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- 5 years of experience in data engineering; proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy standards.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Cloud certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure) a plus, but not required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Experience in scalable frameworks like Python and working with data warehouses
- Experience in cloud computing platforms and their associated services such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud – Preferred
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, R and Perl for data manipulation, transformation and analysis – Preferred
- Experience with report development using JasperReports – Preferred
- Experience with Oracle database solutions - Preferred
- Experience with CMiC ERP a plus, but not required.

Position is primarily an office position, performs work at a desk. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time.
