Core Responsibilities
- Lead a product team with technical ownership over a range of digital platform products, aligning with the LEGO® Technology domain.
- Define and drive architectural strategies that align with the overall digital technology vision.
- Translate complex technical requirements into efficient and scalable solutions.
- Establish team processes, best engineering practices, and a culture of excellence within the team.
- Proactively evaluate and integrate new software products, tools, and methodologies that add value.
- Contribute to cross-organizational initiatives and communities to promote alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Guide resource management to ensure efficiency and adaptability.
- Oversee the IT application portfolio within the product team’s domain.
Play your Part in Our Team succeeding
Join our product team at this exciting juncture, where you will lead one of our Manufacturing Digital Platform teams. The team is responsible for the design, development and operation of our range of digital platform products supporting our global OT manufacturing solutions Including our data collection platform (building on the Unified Namespace / UNS theory) and Production Performance Management platform.
Our immediate focus will be building our global Unified Data Harmonization Platform including development of the technical requirements for a technology tender (Functional and none-functional), Development of the Supplier Risk Assessment, Execute the tender process: e.g. meetings, clarifications calls, scoring of technologies, vendor presentations, review supplier material all in close collaboration with procurement, your team, other digital product teams, our end users in operations and the Lean Manufacturing / data science office.
Post technology selection, you will drive your team's implementation, configuration and verification of the platform services, incl. providing guidance, documentation for platform usage and continuous enhancement of the platforms. As Lead Engineer, you will be part of the digital manufacturing cluster’s engineering community where you will collaborate with peer Lead Engineers on cross digital engineering initiatives, technology usage and development of cluster architectural decision records.
Do You Have What It Takes?
- Industrial Process Control: Deep experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI, and technologies commonly used in OT environments following ISA.S95 and PackML standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming (Python, SQL, C# or similar) and working knowledge of network concepts, compute infrastructure, and monitoring tools (Elastic, Grafana, ServiceNow).
- CI/CD and Protocols: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and industrial protocols like (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, BACnet, CIP, SparkPlugB e.g.).
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with key providers like (B&R, Rockwell, Beckhoff, AVEVA, etc.) and a strong grasp of software applied to mechanical control systems.
- Leadership & Independence: Capable of setting direction, fostering a positive team culture, and driving platform-focused solutions.
It Would Be an Advantage if You Also Have:
- Passion for Productivity: Enthusiasm for digital solutions that enhance manufacturing performance.
- Cybersecurity Awareness: Experience with cyber or regulatory control frameworks.
- Systems and Automation Experience: Background in system administration, robotics, or automation.
- MES & OEE Expertise: Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems, OEE, or building data pipelines from edge to cloud.
