Volt is immediately hiring for full time Electrical Assembler for a leading semiconductor company in Albany Oregon
As a Electrical Assembler you will:
- Build and wire electrical panels and subassemblies that include HMI, robot, and system enclosure, using a bill of materials, blue prints, and electrical schematics.
- Install all electrical subassemblies into the system and perform interconnect wiring between subassemblies and field devices.
- Inspect for quality on electrical panels, subassemblies, and interconnect wiring.
- Complete all documentation required including but not limited to panels log, checklist, and any other quality documents needed.
- Test system power up, main safety circuit, and general I/O.
- Interface with other departments to complete builds on schedule and to resolve any manufacturing issues.
- Load PC with Windows and applicable drivers.
- Assist with facility improvements and repairs.
- Complete all other tasks assigned as necessary regardless of department.
This is a full time position. You must have an open and flexible schedule.
Monday - Friday
6am - 2:30pm
Pay for this position is $20.00 per hour
Experience with the following is required:
- 2-year technical degree, military equivalent, or three to five years of related experience preferred with preference given to Semiconductor experience.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC control circuits and systems including System Control Circuits, Safety Circuits, Motor and Heater Control Circuits, Robotic Systems, Pneumatic Control and PLC/PC Control Based systems.
- Experienced with Codes and Standards, NEC, NFPA70 and 79, UL508A preferred.
- Knowledgeable on electrical safety hazards and the proper labeling and protection needed.
- Ability to use multiple types of hand tools.
- Basic computer skills to review drawings, bill of materials, and installation instructions for various components.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instruction.
- Ability to effectively understand and operate within safety guidelines and policies.
