SUMMARY
This focus of this position is coordination of L&D-related projects by preparing project plans, schedules, and reports. Adapts project management best practices to compliment L&D processes and enhance productivity. Creates and maintains the Manson Learning Network SharePoint presence. Curates and manages the Manson Online Learning Library. Develops and delivers innovative and engaging learning programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, additional duties may be assigned.
Process Management Duties
- Advocates and utilizes Project Management best practices, and adapts them to the L&D processes and instructional systems design.
- Ensures that new processes and templates are documented and made available for future L&D projects.
- Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates multiple project teams through all aspects of the L&D project lifecycle from initiation to deployment.
- Works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, leadership, and other related staff to define project objectives and scope, strategy, schedule, budget, procedures, and outcomes during various phases of the L&D project life cycle.
- Coordinates the roll-out of pre-production and production L&D releases.
- Coordinates and measures project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepares and maintains project status reports; tracks milestones/deliverables, risks, develops roadmaps and iterative project plans; resets expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes; and ensures timely dissemination of information to all interested parties.
- Assumes, coordinates, and manages other duties or projects as assigned.
- Assists with the creation of procedural documentation for the L&D Department.
Instructional Development and Facilitation
- Designs and develops innovative and engaging learning materials (e-learning, computer-based training, instructor led training, job aids, user procedures) to meet organizational needs.
- Assembles periodic corporate training progress reports.
- Works effectively with subject matter experts and leaders across the organization to develop programs that are accurate, effective, and instructionally sound utilizing online, self-study, and classroom mediums.
- Effectively facilitates targeted learning sessions using multiple delivery methods (e.g. in person, virtual classroom, conference calls, Tool Box Training) and on multiple technology platforms.
- Utilizes the basic functions of learning management systems.
- Maintains files and records on the Manson Learning Network SharePoint site.
- Inputs training data into the Training Records and Experience Database (T-REx).
- Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education-related field or Project Management preferred.
- 2 years of experience in project management including coordinating teams, creating project schedules, establishing priorities, assigning tasks, tracking milestones, meeting deadlines, solving problems, monitoring budgets, and preparing project status reports.
- 2 years of experience developing and delivering L&D programs.
- 2 years of experience managing technical projects, both infrastructure as well as software/courseware deployments
- Experience working with consultants, successfully managing scope and schedule.
- 2 years of experience in establishing and maintaining strong, effective, and collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders preferred.
- 2 years of SharePoint experience preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project management tools.
- Adobe Acrobat (Professional), Adobe Connect and SharePoint strongly preferred
- Experience with OpenSesame preferred
Physical Demands
Position is primarily an office position, performs work at a desk. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee must be able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) in order to conduct job site visits (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc.), and able to navigate stairs, ladders and gangways, board, work on and disembark floating vessels and structures.
