Back-End Software Engineer
Remote

MUST:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance
Experienced Software Engineer
3 plus years of experience in back-end software development required
Strong experience with back-end programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go required
Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis required
Experience working with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs required
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) required
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) required
Knowledge of software design patterns, microservices, and scalable architectures required
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in application development required
Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Terraform preferred
Familiarity with front-end technologies to better collaborate on full-stack solutions preferred
Knowledge of distributed systems and data pipelines preferred
Previous experience working in a secure environment or government contracts is preferred
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

DUTIES:
Design, implement, and maintain back-end services, databases, and APIs to support web and mobile applications
Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and reliability of systems
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Develop and maintain code that is clean, efficient, and reusable
Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling
Conduct code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality code
Support efforts in building secure applications and systems that align with industry standards
Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
