Requisites
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- This position reports directly to the Parts Department Manager.
- This position is considered regular, full-time, and requires a minimum in-office schedule of 40 hours per week.
- 3 years related experience (preferred on marine/power generation industries).
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
- Communicate and provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, email and in person.
- Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
- Maintain customer information such as contract forms, contact names, change of address records, phone numbers, email addresses and new account information.
- Enter, record, store, or maintain information in electronic/magnetic form.
- Prepare customer invoices for the electronic file and the shipping department.
- Answer customer questions about products, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Correspond with customers regarding information of production progress and costs.
- Confer with sales team for required information to process purchase orders.
- Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
Other Requisites
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must agree to (and pass) a background check, physical (if applicable), and drug screening testing.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Experience in reading instructional manuals and technical drawings preferred.
