Position Details: We are seeking board-certified Neurologists for a locum tenens opportunity in Southern California, near Corona. This fully remote tele-neurology role is ideal for physicians licensed in California who are comfortable providing care for non-emergent neurological cases through a virtual platform. Coverage is needed from December 2, 2024, through January 6, 2025, with Monday to Friday availability preferred. Temporary privileges can be granted quickly upon application completion.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote neurological evaluations for admitted, non-emergent patients with secure, compliant, bi-directional video technology.
- Coordinate with local facility staff (radiologists, hospitalists, pharmacists, nurses, and therapists) to support comprehensive patient care and avoid unnecessary transfers.
- Manage a caseload of 6-8 patients per shift.
- Review and interpret diagnostic exams as needed (unofficial radiologic interpretations).
- Conduct specialized neurological procedures including:
- EEG (Electroencephalogram) assessments
- Lumbar punctures
- Diagnostic/therapeutic taps
- Botox administration for neurological conditions
- Brain death examinations
- Peripheral nerve and epidural blocks, as well as other specialized neuro-diagnostic services
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active California medical license
- Board Certification: Board-certified in Neurology
- Experience: Comfortable with tele-neurology and interpreting neurological exams in a remote setting
- EMR System: Epic experience preferred (training provided as needed)
- Additional Certifications: None required beyond board certification
