Job Responsibilities:
- Provide cardiology care across outpatient and inpatient settings
- Cover scheduled clinic time Monday to Friday, starting at approximately 2 hours per day, with potential expansion as needed
- On-call responsibilities, including beeper call with a 30-minute response time
- Rounding required in both inpatient and outpatient departments
- Read and interpret cardiology test results (EKGs, ECHOs, etc.) as part of daily duties
- Provide consults and admissions based on hospital census and clinic follow-up needs
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Cardiology required; fellowship preferred
- Active North Carolina medical license required (NC licensure only)
- ACLS certification required
- Ability to obtain temporary hospital privileges if necessary
- Minimum credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
Facility Details:
- Hospital Beds: 86-bed facility with onsite hospitalists managing admissions and initial patient care
- Technology: EMR systems include McKesson and Athena
- Support Staff: Dedicated RN and MA support provided onsite, along with two office staff for clinic support

- Echocardiography
- STEMI management (non-interventional)

Call Details:
- 24-hour call coverage with beeper
- Call ratio of 100% with occasional call-backs
- Admissions of 0-2 per 24-hour period; phone consultations ranging from 0-10 calls per day
