ENGINEER-CIVIL HYDRAULICS
The Gabriel Search Group is recruiting for a Civil Engineering firm specializes in municipal and State infrastructure improvement projects related to planning, design and construction management of highways, bridges, flood and stormwater management systems, water supply systems and wastewater collection, treatment and disposal systems. Additionally, the firm performs computer mapping assignments, solid waste projects, stormwater pollution prevention plans, stormwater quality sampling, dams and other assignments.
Job Description
The Hydraulic Engineer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day business for the Engineering Department that may include designing, researching, prototyping, creating, and reviewing engineering documentation, estimating, and process improvement. The ideal candidate must be collaborative, creative, and passionate about high-quality work output.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or related discipline required.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering for bridges, roadways, and dams
- Working knowledge of HECRAS, TR-55 and/or Similar hydrologic, hydraulic and drainage engineering design software
- ConnDOT approval as a Hydraulic Engineer is a plus.
- Design experience in subdivision and general civil design projects is a plus.
- Possesses interpersonal skills that allow for successful interaction and communication with various individuals both internally and externally.
