Overview:
Selco Products is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with a strong balance of electrical and mechanical expertise, especially in automation for production lines. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing thermal products and solutions across a wide range of applications, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop and implement electromechanical thermal solutions for production.
- Design and draft fixtures, mechanical parts, and assemblies to support automated production processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to assembly and manufacturing, ensuring high-quality and efficient production workflows.
- Work with the design team to create parts optimized for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- Experience with automation and cobots (e.g., UR5e) in a production environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a strong preference for SolidWorks.
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with equipment such as multimeters, data loggers, and environmental test chambers.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
- Willingness to engage in physical tasks, such as moving boxes or placing products in test chambers, as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience with cobot automation in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of experience in CAD design (SolidWorks or similar software).
