Our Operational Technology team is seeking a dedicated Automation Specialist (Manager Specialist level) to join us!

Core Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize PLC software for production equipment (paper pre-packs)
- Provide technical guidance and develop automation architecture in collaboration with suppliers and mechanical designers.
- Ensure compliance with project management rules, relevant norms, directives, and EHS requirements.
- Support the development of cross-functional teams.
- Standardize new equipment and continuously improve current equipment.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Operational technology (OT) team is partly located in Kladno, CZ with global responsibility for packing equipment – prepack (machines for packing LEGO products into bags) & final pack (packing into paper boxes and other non-standard final packaging). OT also supports automation activities for Moulding and Processing with colleagues in Denmark, Mexico, China, Hungary and the Czech republic.
Do you have what it takes?
- Extensive experience in automation, especially in a global environment.
- Proficiency in development, design, and PLC software programming using IEC 61131-3 languages (preferably Allen Bradley, B&R, Beckhoff, Siemens)
- Experience with Ethernet-based communication protocols and/or OPC UA.
- Hands-on experience in functional safety using safety controllers.
- Knowledge of new technologies and innovative consumer trends.
- Ability to read and write equipment design requirements.
- Ability to specify equipment documentation (user manuals, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Advanced English, Czech language is a big plus
What would be appreciated:
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings as well as electrical engineering education (Government Regulation No. 194/2022 Coll.).
- Experience with the implementation of ANSI/ISA-TR88.
