The Associate Merchandise Manage is tasked with combining the art of aesthetics and pop culture trends with science, data analysis, and consumer insights to create a brand-relevant and fan-centric product line.The Associate Merchandise Manager will develop product strategies, analyze financial goals of the product line and work with Sales and Marketing to deliver the product to the end consumer.During the development process, the Associate Merchandise Manager will work closely with the Product Development, Creative, Planning, and Marketing Teams and communicate with key external partners on a regular basis, facilitating product strategy and sales discussions.In sum, this position encompasses the development and implementation of business plans, product line profitability, analysis and evaluation of product marketplace, and new product opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Develop product strategies in conjunction with a cross-functional team, managing process of identifying opportunities, business case creation, licensor review, product briefing with PD and Creative, and hindsight analysis
- Manage licensed property product portfolio and determine timing and implementation of products associated with License. Create brand presentations for internal and external partners
- Develop short-term and long-range plans for assigned Brands based on historical analysis, market trends, Licensor synergy events, and product portfolio. Create initial business plan, including product concept and design direction
- Communicate with internal cross-functional partners to keep all stakeholders up-to-date with strategy shifts or line plan updates. Partner closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Direct to Consumer teams.
- Work in close partnership with Licensing team and Licensors on product strategies that meet licensor requirements and fulfill Company revenue and margin objectives
- Ensure accuracy and data integrity by maintaining line plans, catalogs, and software systems.
- Conduct seasonal competitive shopping analyses, staying abreast of market trends, pricing strategies, and product innovation.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Merchandising, (similar) preferred; or 1- 3 years related experience in product development/creation in the consumer goods industry (apparel, fashion accessories, handbags, footwear etc.) – fast fashion; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Brand management or product management experience
- Ability to communicate with external parties frequently to discuss product strategies
- Strong interest and knowledge of fashion, pop culture, impactful brands and key social media trends and influencers
- Understanding and experience with the product creation lifecycle in the consumer goods industry
- Strong attention to detail and organization to keep up with product changes through the development and production process
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to communicate within all levels of the organization (including C-Level) as well as with external partners, retail accounts and licensors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and accurately

Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $67,725 - 72,000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
