Job Overview: Reporting to a supervisor, the Lead provides first-level direction and hour-to-hour supervision, giving work assignments and checking the work of employees. The Lead knows the processes and how to get work completed. Coordinates department activities to maintain standards of safety, quality, delivery and production. The Lead assists the supervisor with leadership of the department in order to meet company goals and objectives.

- Engages and empowers work cells
- Executes strategies as set by Supervisor
- Coaches operators to elevate performance and effectiveness
- Encourage and motivate employees
- Resolves employee issues as they arise
- Hold employees accountable for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Production performance measures
- Overseeing the manufacturing processes
- Understands department's production area opportunities and challenges
- Plan and communicate daily crew assignments, monitor job rotation, ensure training is provided
- Monitor and adjust process to ensure even product flow
- Daily management of work cells to meet metrics goals and department metrics
- Coordinate work to meet Delivery objectives
- Work Load Balancing to ensure even flowing process - labor
- Responsible for cross training to enable labor movement
- Plan and communicate crewing and job assignments
- Reinforce and implement improvements and waste elimination initiatives
- Identify and communicate obstructions to meeting daily goals
- Ensure all safety policies & practices are followed
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous management or coordination experience
