Job Description
- This position provides EHS related advice and support to reduce risks for the organization. Promotes positive behaviors and behaviors to establish healthy work styles through campaigns and communication of health-related issues.
What your day will look like:
- Implement, deploy, and improve EHS related procedures and processes with the objective of reducing the work-related accident rate at LVA.
- Analyze trends in EHS metrics monthly and initiate improvement actions as required.
- Coordinate and provide support in the development of training and qualifications of the EHS face-to-face and digital training processes.
- Promote a behavior-based safety culture at the site through training and mentor of area leaders.
- Coordinate the activities related to industrial hygiene and safety risk analysis to identify critical risks annually and verify that adequate controls are implemented to mitigate them.
- Participate in global and local EHS projects.
- Assist production personnel and EHS Technicians with investigations of complex EHS events and with the implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide assistance to all areas to help develop and implement required EHS programs and improvements.
- Act as the primary liaison between the LEGO Group and the General Contractor’s Safety Team on daily activities and high-risk task monitoring.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Participate in weekly site safety meetings with general contractors and subcontractor safety representatives.
- Maintain records on Key Process Indicators and update associated reports
- Ensure that all activities required to meet LEGO established critical metrics are being completed on time.
- Ensure LEGO Construction personnel finish required safety trainings and follow all applicable safety laws when on the jobsite.
- Ensure that all LEGO direct hire contractors follow all General Contractor safety requirements and coordinate their high-risk activities with all groups onsite.
- Work closely with construction managers, contractors, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety, review project plans and design documents to ensure safety considerations are incorporated, and all applicable safety laws are followed.
Are you up for the challenge?
- +5 years EHS experience in both industrial and construction settings.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws covering Environmental, Health, and Safety.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO45001, and ISO9001 management systems.
- OSHA 30 for Construction and OSHA 500 Certification.
- Experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.
- Knowledge of EHS issues in both manufacturing and construction environments.
- The base salary for this position generally ranges between $ $90,000 USD- $120,00 USD. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Additional Description
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO45001, and ISO9001 management systems.
- OSHA 30 for Construction and OSHA 500 Certification
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EHS issues in both manufacturing and construction environments
- Experience with risk analysis methodologies and corrective action development.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adjust priorities in a large construction environment
- Ability to develop and present safety related training as needed
- Basic knowledge of SharePoint and SAP systems
- Office skills (Power point, Excel, Word, outlook etc.)
- Basic knowledge in Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, and Risk Analysis methodologies.
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environment, bend, kneel, lift, climb ladders, walk/stand for extended periods in hot and cold environments.
- Training in First-Aid/CPR or higher certification desirable
