Microbiology Production Technician for our Carlsbad, CA client. In the
Production Technician, you will perform a range of manufacturing tasks in the production process of microbiological products. Safely and efficiently operate a variety of processing and packing equipment. Perform set-up and operation of production equipment. Inspect, clean, calibrate, adjust, and maintain production equipment maintenance. Monitor and inspect output to ensure product assemblies adhere to specifications and meet quality standards. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMPs), adhere to safety, environmental, and health regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and records. May be responsible for packaging finished goods

- Reads and follows Quality documentation used in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cGMP and ISO guidelines a plus.
- Will fill in the documentation, concisely and legibly, for review by Quality and Manufacturing.
- Regularly communicate with the supervisor to receive the daily assignment and to report any relevant production-related information during the workday.
- Prep equipment for start-up and change-over.
- Brewing: Follow a recipe requiring precise weighing and mixing chemicals to produce a liquid medium.
- Remove finished products from machine and separate rejected items.
- Regulate machine flow, speed and temperature.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions.
- Stock, sort, and secure product for packaging.
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or anomalies.
- Clean packaging containers, workstations, and floors daily and as needed with the use of chemicals such as bleach.
- Supports the shipping/receiving process.
- Perform Quality Control activities as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1+ year of experience in the following:
- Manufacturing (microbiology preferred)
- Clean Room
- Packaging/Assembly
- ISO 13485
- Quality Assurance
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Ability to work well with hands and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have demonstrated ability in the use of common manufacturing equipment.
- Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under supervision while meeting all applicable deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
- Basic mathematical skills.
