Safety Director
Location: Greater Cincinnati
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Safety Director to lead and enhance safety operations across our terminals. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring compliance, managing claims and accidents, and fostering a safety-first culture within our operator-based fleet. You'll collaborate closely with drivers, maintenance teams, and legal partners to uphold and elevate our safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular terminal visits to evaluate and implement safety protocols.
- Oversee accident and claims management, including coordination with attorneys.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with vehicle maintenance standards.
- Build strong relationships with drivers to promote and sustain a culture of safety.
- Lead and motivate the safety team, ensuring consistent training and communication.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in safety management within the transportation or trucking industry.
- In-depth knowledge of trucking operations, including vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in accident investigation and claims management processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with drivers and teams.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to driving safety excellence.
