Great Full-time opportunity for a Physical Therapist to work at a large hospital in the Bay Area evaluating patients and developing treatment plans in a inpatient hospital setting.
What You Will Be Doing:- Perform routine patient care and is responsible for all clinical aspects of assigned patient care, including evaluation and treatment, with supervision as needed, as well as an advanced didactic program designed to facilitate extensive expertise in acute care rehabilitation.
- Provides physical or corrective rehabilitation or treatment of any physical condition to achieve and maintain highest functional level, including use of physical, chemical and other properties of heat, light, water, electricity, sound and massage, gait and transfer training, and active, passive and resistive range of motion/exercise.
- Provides age-specific, quality, patient-centered care to all patients using the nursing process and standards of nursing practice with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of the human experience.
- Expedite appropriate care and treatment, using critical reasoning and astute clinical judgment especially given the patient may present with complex problems or potentially life-threatening conditions.
- Examines, evaluates, and tests patients with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities or other health and movement-related conditions.
- Develops, implements, and modifies therapeutic interventions to alleviate movement-related impairments, functional limitations and disabilities; selects and administers appropriate assessment and treatment techniques; performs age appropriate competency skills in area of practice with fundamental skills in clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and interventions.
- Determines magnitude and impact of physical impairments or movement-related functional limitations, prognosis, plan of therapeutic intervention and appropriate frequency/duration of interventions
- Evaluates for, recommends, applies and, as appropriate, fabricates movement- related assistive, adaptive, protective, prosthetic and supportive devices and equipment, and trains patients in their use.
- Organizes and maintains a patient caseload that meets/exceeds department productivity standards; schedules patients and informs manager if barriers arise
Essential Skills You Should Have:- Graduation from an approved Physical Therapy curriculum.
- Two letters of recommendation are required from either clinicians or academic professors who can attest to your clinical reasoning, knowledge, and relevant clinical experience that would make you a good fit for our program.
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree required.
- Graduate from an approved Physical Therapy curriculum.
- Knowledge in specialty area of practice
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in assigned work area.
- Licenses and Certifications:
BLS - Basic Life Support . - PT - CA Physical Therapist
- Physical Therapy Credentials, BLS
- Acute Care In-Patient experience (in a hospital setting)
- Fit testing, FLU Vaccine required.
