Overview:
Salary details based on experience: Level 1: $39/hr.; Level 2: $44/hr.

Shift/Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
The facilities electrician is responsible for installing and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a blueprint.

Responsibilities:
- Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Installs ground leads and connects power cables to equipment such as motors, etc.
- Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Connects wires to panels, transformers, or other components. Installs conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pulls insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes
per NEC and job scope/specifications. - Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repairs, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Repairs & maintains electrical/electronic systems/assemblies and performs preventive maintenance on property & the rides.
- Works from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Replaces/installs lamps and switches to keep the parks, stores, and restaurants light and bright.
- Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Electrical field education or 2-year Certificate preferred.
- License or Certification: Valid driver’s license. Must meet state certifications and/or licensing.
- Requires 2-4 years of related electrical experience, including working in a commercial environment.
- Responsible for installing and repairing moderately complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a blueprint.
- Good judgment and decision making considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Ability to read and understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Ability to use mathematics to solve problems. Ability to interpret electrical schematics as needed.
