Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Center located in Montclair, NJ- 20 mi from NYC, is searching for a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to serve as the Medical Director of its Adult Health Center (teaching clinic of the internal medicine residency) and serve as Associate Program Director of Ambulatory Medicine under the direction of the Internal Medicine Program Director. The Internal Medicine Teaching Physician will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the clinic functions, teaching/supervising residents in primary care, and developing/teaching the ambulatory medicine curriculum of the residency program.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as an educator/primary care in Internal Medicine required
ACLS/BCS
About the Position:
Both Inpatient and Outpatient
Clinic located less than 1 mile from the hospital
40% Administrative time
26 Residents (6-7 during any 2-week block)
2-3 residents scheduled for each clinic session
Phlebotomy 3 days per week
Residents take first call
Epic EMR
Mentor residents in Quality Improvement projects in the outpatient setting
Updating and teaching of Ambulatory Medicine curriculum to residents adhering to ACGME guidelines - this includes teaching weekly didactics to residents on the Ambulatory Block
Work with Practice Manager to assure that the Adult Health Center is compliant with all regulatory agencies (Joint Commission) and provide oversight to participation in quality assurance programs
