Permanent Child Psychiatrist Job - New York City Jackson + Coker is seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Psychiatrist for an exciting Permanent opportunity in New York City. This role offers a balance of clinical work and leadership in child and adolescent psychiatry. This is a hybrid role with part time telehealth work. However currently it is mostly remote as the the need is minimal (maybe once a month) but flexibility is required in the event that circumstances change. Position Overview: This position focuses on providing youth psychiatric care in a traditional clinical role for 40% of the time. The remaining 60% involves supervisory and managerial responsibilities, supporting psychiatric providers, therapists, and program directors working with high-risk youth. Key Responsibilities: Direct clinical care for youth, focusing on mental health challenges including legal system involvement, substance use, self-harm, and trauma. Supervision and leadership over Youth ACT Teams, Residential Treatment Programs, and Youth Community Residences. Participate in monthly supervision sessions and high-risk incident review committees. Collaborate with the agency s central Psychiatric Services team on chart reviews, policy development, and youth psychiatric research. Provide temporary coverage for clinical programs with psychiatric provider vacancies. Qualifications: Active DEA and New York State License as a psychiatrist. Board Certified or Board Eligible in child psychiatry. Demonstrated experience with youth psychiatric care across a wide range of diagnoses. Comfort supervising newly graduated NPPs, some of whom have limited experience with youth. Travel required to sites across New York City's five
