Neurology Physician

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for 3 hospitals in system.
Inpatient coverage: Must physically see all inpatients at all 3 sites, including weekends and nights.
EEG review: Remote monitoring of EEGs is required (essential for the role).
No daytime outpatient clinic.
Provide Epilepsy consultation and care, including emergency interventions for inpatient cases.
Potential for trauma-related cases (e.g., gunshot wounds, hypothermia) at Level II trauma center.
Work alongside other neurologists and 3 advanced practice providers.
Hospital-based practice, no rehab or sleep-related cases.
Average of 8 hospital-based patients per day.

Required Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Trained in Epileptology (required, no exceptions)
Ohio state medical license (required, no exceptions not accepting IMLC)
BLS certification (required)
COVID vaccinated (required)
Clean background with no malpractice claims (required)
Must be available for the specified dates (credentialing takes at least 120 days):
- April 2-13, 2025
- June 30 - July 6, 2025
- July 21-27, 2025
- Ongoing availability

Facility Overview:

Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based, with some outpatient EEG review.
Patient Breakdown:
- Adult: 90%
- Pediatric (16+): 10%
- Trauma-related cases: Dependent on the day, providers may encounter trauma cases (e.g., GSW, hypothermia) at Level II trauma center.
- Inpatient: 95% of cases are inpatient, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Hospital Coverage: 3 hospitals with a maximum of 8 patients per day.
EMR: Epic system.
Onsite labs and X-ray available.
