Aspirus Health is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing Cardiothoracic Surgery program
The Physician Assistants in our Cardiothoracic Surgery department function primarily in the role of Cardiothoracic Surgery Critical Care and are valued members of a dynamic team on the front line of patient care who practice with the utmost autonomy and support.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of critical care experience and/or endoscopic vessel harvest experience. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate for this full-scope position will receive training to:
Deliver exceptional pre- and post-operative patient care with high degree of autonomy.
Competently perform a full scope of invasive and noninvasive bedside procedures
Integrate Point-of-Care Ultrasound into patient care
Develop expertise in endoscopic vessel harvest
Become a member of the PICC line team
As a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant at Aspirus, you will practice at just one hospital. Your time will be split primarily between surgery/OR and inpatient care. A portion of time will also be in clinic. Our goal is 1:5 call.
