Job Description: A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced General Liability Defense Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending clients in complex general liability cases and will be responsible for managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation. The firm is known for its client-focused approach and commitment to providing high-quality legal services while fostering a collegial work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in general liability matters, including personal injury, property damage, and product liability cases.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and participate in trial preparation.
- Provide strategic legal counsel and risk management advice to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve successful case outcomes.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school in Alabama.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general liability defense or related litigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong litigation and courtroom skills, including case management from inception to resolution.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities.
