Job Description: They are seeking a motivated and skilled Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation and be adept at handling a variety of complex legal issues. This role involves managing cases from inception to resolution, including conducting depositions, drafting motions, and representing clients in court.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including commercial litigation, property damage, and professional liability claims.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
- Develop and implement case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
- Negotiate settlements and work with experts to prepare cases for trial.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in Maryland and Virginia license is a plus.
- 0-3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong understanding of insurance law and defense strategies.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
