The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Personal Injury and Workers Comp focused litigation, be capable of managing assignments from attorneys, type 60 WPM, and demonstrate initiative while working independently. Attention to detail is essential as the role involves supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
Responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal include:
- Assisting litigation counsel across all stages of legal proceedings.
- Overseeing the discovery process, encompassing document collection, retention, and production, as well as aiding in drafting responses to discovery requests.
- Drafting fundamental legal documents such as settlement agreements, document retention notices, and response letters.
- Contributing to pre-trial preparations by drafting trial documents and preparing exhibits.
- Prioritizing and executing tasks efficiently and punctually.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2 years of litigation preferred in the areas of Workers Comp and Personal Injury.
- Office management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities.
- Capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with trial presentation software.
