Summary:
This position is located in the Office of Mobile Security Deployments (MSD), Training Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, U.S. Department of State, Blackstone, Virginia
In this position, you will serve as a Security Training Instructor and provide security support overseas and domestically to facilitate the Bureau of Diplomatic Security's larger responsibility of creating a secure environment for the conduct of U.S. diplomacy.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience designing and coordinating advanced training programs.
- Experience instructing in both classroom and field settings.
- Experience updating curriculum to reflect changes in security and training techniques.
Note: Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a training program; development or review of training / course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; or work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
