Summary:
The position is located in the Special Security Operations (SSO) Division, Office of Information Security (SI), Directorate and Security Infrastructure (SI), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS). In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that all intelligence, intelligence sources and methods, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) are properly controlled, transmitted, destroyed, packaged, and safeguarded at Department of State locations worldwide.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience interpreting applicable statutes and authorities related to the security field.
- Experience implementing physical and technical security principles, methods and practices to protect security-controlled facilities.
- Experience identifying and protecting classified and sensitive intelligence information.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
