Insurance Defense Associate Attorney
Position Overview: As an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in insurance-related disputes, including personal injury, property damage, and other insurance coverage issues. The successful candidate will have experience in insurance defense and a strong understanding of insurance law and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent insurance companies and their insureds in court, arbitration, and mediation.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation
- Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on insurance law and coverage matters.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and case law.
- Work closely with clients, claims adjusters, and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Alabama.
- 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong understanding of insurance law and related regulations.
- Excellent research, writing, and litigation skills.
- Ability to manage a heavy caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in personal injury defense and property damage claims.
- Familiarity with insurance coverage litigation.
