GSM Global Supply Chain Manager The main focus will be managing the operations at a local CM from a commercial perspective. Track monthly resource, infrastructure costs, be the first level approver after validating the actuals. Review/negotiate non-material expenses at the local CM on an ad-hoc basis. Support other GSM Managers by placing POs, tracking them & ensuring they get approved internally. Support GSM Manager in QCA closure Document, consolidate tasks needed to be completed for QCA closure from a commercial perspective. Perform analytics on monthly costs of costs at the local CM Number of DLs/IDLs with output of modules/month. Report trends to GSM, AME Leadership.
Scope: Very tactical role to primarily manage the ongoing costs of labor, infrastructure at a local CM.
? Manage & track monthly costs at a Contract Manufacturer. Understand labor, rent & other resources needed to manage manufacturing of sensors and modules.
? Have experience working on spreadsheets to model simple cost tracking, compare actuals with overall budget. Track & present monthly updates. Maintain a cost dashboard.
This person needs to create POs, track them & ensure they get approved internally.
Understand/support the GSM Manager during budget creation, SOW development
Clearly understand procure-to-pay. Understand Purchase Orders, purchase requisitions, invoices, etc.
Support negotiation of ad-hoc purchases at local CM, work closely with the CM's vendors for non-capex related cost negotiation such as layout change implementation with guidance from Senior GSM.
Understand basic manufacturing from a commercial perspective to support business analytics using excel. Use the monthly data on resources by project (Direct/Indirect labor) & present trends by month to Supply chain leadership.
Support closure of a CM & program manage small operational tasks that need to be completed in a timely manner to ensure smooth closure of the facility.
Support PO creation, tracking & approval process for other GSM Managers.
Manage commercials to support Engineering builds at a new CM Maintain blanket PO to accommodate design changes, split builds, NPPV, etc.
Conduct Supplier Meetings for NPI Projects, Manage Contract Manufacturer's monthly costs for Operations.
Collaborate with the companies purchasing, SAP team to review invoices & resolve invoicing issues.
Understand Bill of Materials, BOM , and be able to support forecasting at a part level.
Review & approve quotes for quick turn builds.
Review/approve order-quantity increase, purchase price variance for builds at CMs with guidance from Senior GSM.
Most importantly, be a people person & work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as MPM, AME and suppliers.
Required: Top level understanding of procurement process: What is a PO, Invoice, etc.
Solid skills in spreadsheet Ability to create pivot tables, use of vlookup, put together dashboards, etc.
Discipline in managing & tracking monthly spend at a CM.
Understanding of contract manufacturing & assembly operations from a commercial perspective.
Self-starter. Quickly understand the current operational process of managing CM cost details.
Understand overall supply chain landscape in manufacturing a system/sensor Suppliers, contract manufacturers etc.
Candidate should have basic manufacturing process knowledge and have excellent comm skills both verbal and written Comfortable speaking in front of groups of peers.
