Peas in a Pod Nursery School is seeking an Infant Toddler Pre-School Teacher to maintain a safe and fun environment for children. The teacher will supervise classroom activities, prepare and serve snacks, and organize educational and recreational activities. Additionally, they will monitor children's developmental progress and communicate with families. The school follows a Development Approach philosophy, emphasizing hands-on learning and meeting individual needs in an open, child-directed setting. Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and fun environment for the children
- Supervise classroom activities and ensure children's well-being
- Prepare and serve snacks
- Monitor children's developmental progress and communicate with families
- Create engaging lesson plans tailored to children's needs
- Implement various learning centers including science, social studies, and art
- Encourage children's independence and self-esteem through hands-on experiences
- Collaborate with families to support children's learning and development
- Ensure compliance with First Aid and CPR certification requirements
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate play-based learning activities
- Provide responsive caregiving, including feeding, diapering, and comforting young children as needed
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
Requirements
- 1-2 years
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR)
Salary: $21.00 per hour
