Title: QA Release Manager Salary/Benefits: $130k-$150k, Comprehensive benefits pkg WFH Policy - Hybrid, 3 days onsite Overview: We are seeking a QA Lead Release Manager to ensure that all releases meet quality standards by managing testing activities, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring smooth deployment to production environments, essentially acting as the bridge between quality assurance and the release management process. Key Responsibilities: Release planning and coordination: Collaborate with development teams to define release schedules, milestones, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with project goals. Test strategy development: Design comprehensive test plans and strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and usability testing, to cover all aspects of the release. Test execution and oversight: Lead the QA team in executing test cases, managing defect tracking, and prioritizing bug fixes. Release readiness reviews: Conduct thorough quality assessments to determine if a release is ready for deployment to production, including reviewing test reports and addressing any outstanding issues. Stakeholder communication: Communicate release status updates to key stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and business teams. Skills: Strong QA expertise: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management practices. Release management knowledge: Familiarity with release cycles, deployment processes, and change management procedures. Leadership skills: Ability to lead and mentor a QA team, delegate tasks effectively, and motivate team members. . Technical proficiency: Understanding of software development tools, defect tracking systems, and automation frameworks. Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in automation testing for APIs and web applications. Proficient in a programming language (e.g., C#, JavaScript, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of Testim, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Fiddler). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools within AWS environment. Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to work with complex queries. Familiarity with AWS cloud platform. Experience in agile methodologies and a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD). Knowledge of ORM tools like Entity Framework or Dapper.
