Our Challenge: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst with extensive experience in the Capital Markets or Banking domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions that drive business value. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, New Jersey is $120k-$130k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements. Conduct workshops and interviews to understand user needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications. Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to derive insights and support decision-making. Design and implement data models, reports, and dashboards to visualize key metrics and trends. Technical Leadership: Act as a technical lead for projects, guiding team members in the analysis and design phases. Review and validate technical solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and align with industry standards. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders. Project Management: Coordinate project activities, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables are met. Support project planning and execution, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Domain Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of Capital Markets or Banking products, services, and regulations to inform analysis and solution development. Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the banking sector. Testing and Validation: Develop test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs. Facilitate the resolution of issues during the testing phase and post-implementation. Requirements: You are: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. 12 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in the Capital Markets or Banking domain. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and experience with data modeling. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or data-related certifications) are a plus.
