Senior Java Developer - Gaming Industry - Hybrid Working - London - Up to £100,000 p/a Christopher Ali are recruiting on behalf of a well backed games provider targeting the Asian gambling market. They develop their own games and provide a white label platform which also aggregates a number of 3rd party games suppliers together, supplying games and bespoke solutions to a numerous large operators in the market. As a Senior Java Developer, you will work at all stages of the product lifecycle from requirements capture, through design and implementation, to system testing and integration. You will also have opportunities to drive the technical directions taken by the company, and as a member of the small (but growing) development team there is great opportunity to rapidly take on more responsibilities and move into a leadership position. The role will be a mix of on-site and remote work based out of the London office. Main duties and responsibilities: Technical specification, design and development of new software components. Contributing to architectural decisions and design processes. Mentoring of junior team members. Keeping current with new technologies and making recommendations to the team. Maintaining and enhancing existing code base. Working with members of the QA and delivery teams to ensure products are tested, installed and maintained to a high standard. Maintaining high quality coding standards within the team. Mandatory skills and experience: Excellent problem solving and communication skills. At least three years of commercial Java development experience, with some experience in real money and/or social gaming industries. Significant technical contribution to complex software products. A degree in Computer Science or similar (e.g. Software Engineering, Physics, Maths) Experience developing software using the Spring stack alongside Hibernate JPA and PostgreSQL. Experience working in an Agile development environment.
