Enterprise Data Architect - £95,000 to £115,000 This position provides strategic technology leadership, focusing on the development, maintenance, communication, and governance of the organisation’s technology strategy, architecture, and roadmaps. The role emphasises balancing business objectives, industry trends, innovation, and cost efficiency, while influencing executive stakeholders and supporting decisions that shape the organization's technological direction. Key Responsibilities Lead the technology strategy for data, aligning it with the broader corporate business, data, and digital strategies. Oversee the development, communication, and implementation of the data strategy. Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams to integrate operational capabilities and drive thought leadership, with a focus on data. Provide architectural guidance for both business-led and technology-driven transformation initiatives. Technology Landscape The organisation employs a cloud-first strategy, leveraging key SaaS applications and Azure-hosted data and digital capabilities. Its data platform is built on a Lakehouse architecture using Azure Data Lake and Microsoft-based data services. This platform supports reporting, analytics, and insights and is evolving to deliver advanced business intelligence. Experience and Skills Data Warehousing and Data Lakes (e.g., Azure Data Lake) Reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) Analytics, Data Mining, and Data Science Data integration, migration, and ETL processes Master and reference data management Data governance and quality management Data modeling and lineage tracking Data resiliency and recovery Digital platforms (e.g., portals, user experience, content management) Integration services Identity management and end-user computing Broad understanding of IT systems and architectures. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-level IT strategies and architectures, especially in digital, data, and cloud domains.
