Core Responsibilities
- To lead a high-performance team, which is highly motivated and capable of delivering strong results (SQDCP) and optimizing the Element Qualification (EQ) operations continuously (Verification & Approval). This EQ process is the one validating and approving our new injection moulds before mass production.
- To secure timely/relevant tactical plans and its execution to have the EQ function supporting and enabling the strategic direction of EMV (Element & Mould Validation), E&M (Elements & Moulds) & The LEGO Group. This is achieved by driving projects/tasks through team and cross-functional collaboration.
- To Ensure an elevated level of collaboration with the local site stakeholders (QEHS and Mould Qualification Leaders and organizations) and with global stakeholders (EMV LT colleagues, Global Mould Qualification, E&M, Processing R&D, etc.). At the same time, making decisions based on that detailed understanding of dependencies and delivering according to Customer changing needs.
- To develop own team through leveraging the business needs/opportunities with the individual needs for development of the team members. During this process, clear and ambitious expectations must be set, and eventually, accountability towards that and learning extraction are to be secured. All of this, while always adhering to the LEGO Values.
- To Follow the Global Processes and to make sure they stay locally relevant, while at the same time, playing an active role in improving them through professional feedback and collaboration.
Play your part in our team succeeding
The Element & Mould Validation organization consists of 5 Element Qualification teams (3 on-site in China, Hungary and Mexico, which are all built alike and support the daily operation on the site & 2 teams in Denmark); and 1 Platform team.
The Element Qualification (EQ) teams are responsible for the daily operations of measuring and approval of moulded elements and thereby the new moulds. Hence, the EQ teams are the guardians/stewards for the premium quality of bricks we send out to consumers.
Do you have what it takes?
- Engineering degree
- At least 4 years of experience on Injection Moulding technology, metrology or quality. Combined with intense knowledge of LEGO operation is a huge plus.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience
- Knowledge about general Quality tools: FMEA, LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO standards is considered a plus
- Must be experienced in MS office (SAP knowledge is an advantage)
- Willingness to join team seminars (F2F and online), often in challenging time schedules due to time zone differences
- Proficiency in English, written and oral, is required.
- Traveling is expected to approx. 10 days / year
