Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology (EP) Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) to contribute to our expanding program focused on diagnosing, managing, and treating complex cardiac arrhythmias. In this vital role, you will leverage your cardiovascular expertise to monitor and address the needs of patients suffering from conditions such as complex arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs). Key Responsibilities Conduct outpatient ECG interpretations and manage treatment plans for patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. Provide risk stratification for cardiac EP procedures and prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic options. Engage in collaboration with electrophysiologists to adjust medications and optimize patient outcomes. Perform CIED testing and reprogramming with minimal supervision and review remote transmissions for ongoing patient management. Facilitate outpatient therapeutic procedures involving CIEDs (e.g., pacemakers, defibrillators), and assist with catheter ablation. Support inpatient EP consultation services across multiple locations, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for effective patient throughput and care management. Assist with pre-and post-operative services, including order placements, health evaluations, and follow-up consultations to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Participate in quality management initiatives to enhance patient and system outcomes. Current or eligibility for Physician Assistant or APRN licensure in Connecticut. Certification through AACN or ANCC as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Experience in cardiology preferred, with a strong preference for those with electrophysiology background. Prior cardiac device management experience highly desirable.
