Join a team dedicated to changing lives! As a Renal Care Patient Technician at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients undergoing dialysis. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to support individuals dealing with renal failure. Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Engage directly with patients to deliver safe and effective dialysis treatment. Your duties will include gathering patient stats pre- and post-treatment, initiating and monitoring treatments, concluding sessions, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians. Technical Duties: Be proactive in ensuring the best care by preparing dialysis machines, performing cleaning and disinfecting procedures post-treatment, and conducting safety checks on equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards. Safety and Compliance: Employ appropriate safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate closely with the Charge Nurse to adhere to organizational policies and state/federal regulations. Your ongoing professional development will include participation in staff meetings and educational opportunities. What We Are Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent. A passion for healthcare and patient care. Prior experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in dialysis or as a CNA, is advantageous. Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols. Ability to distinguish primary colors is essential. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of the USRC training program, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire. CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by the state. Patient Care Technician certification must be acquired through an approved state or national program within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter, subject to state-specific regulations.
