Minimum Requirements: Graduation from an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and relevant life support certification is required. At least 6 months of nursing (RN) experience. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (must have the card before the start date). BLS or CPR certification must be valid for a minimum of 60 days beyond the hire date. Acute Care Duties: Providing direct care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units with moderate to high patient acuity. Utilizing AMSN's core curriculum and specialty certification standards for evidence-based care models.
