Facility: Gss Nd Mandan Miller Location: 3500 21st St SE, Mandan, ND 58554, USA Shift: 8 Hours - Night Shifts Job Schedule: Full time Weekly Hours: 40.00 Salary Range: $20.00 - $28.00 Position Overview The Medication Assistant (MA) plays a crucial role in providing personalized nursing care and daily living support to residents under the guidance of a charge nurse. This position involves delivering care that is responsive to the physical and psychological needs of residents, as outlined in their individualized care plans. Assists residents with essential daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and obtaining vital signs. Provides emotional support and helps with transferring, repositioning, and mobility. Ensures a pleasant dining experience by assisting with meal preparation and serving. Administers medications as delegated by the licensed nurse, documenting care outcomes and any changes in residents' conditions. Participates in wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident engagement. Maintains cleanliness and organization of living areas through housekeeping and laundry services. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory. Minimum age of 18 preferred, with prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care viewed favorably. Completion of annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education is required. CNA certification is necessary for specific states, along with successful completion of a state-approved medication aide course.
