The Lead Medical Assistant - Allergy supports high-quality patient care and allergy operations by overseeing clinical staff, supporting providers, ensuring compliance, and serving as a subject matter expert in allergy testing and immunotherapy. This role blends direct patient care responsibilities with leadership, training, and coordination of clinical workflow. Schedule: Full time, 30 hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am - 7:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed. Lead Medical Assistant - Allergy Supervise and support Medical Assistants in allergy clinical operations; provide real-time guidance, oversight, and performance feedback. Collaborate with General/Regional/Clinical Managers to onboard, train, and educate new and existing staff in allergy workflows, protocols, and clinical expectations. Monitor compliance with daily opening/closing checklists, allergy protocols, and documentation standards. Coordinate shift coverage during staff absences; serve as backup when emergency coverage is needed. Act as the liaison between clinical staff and management to ensure adherence to company policies, OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines. Foster a professional and welcoming clinic atmosphere for patients, providers, and staff. Maintain deep understanding of allergy procedures, including skin prick, patch testing, spirometry, and immunotherapy. Support providers with scribing, patient communication, and documentation including treatments, prescriptions, and consents. Prepare exam rooms and assist with allergy testing and procedures; ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked post-visit. Oversee inventory control of allergy testing supplies and equipment; execute routine ordering and assist with expense tracking. Regularly audit allergy documentation including logbooks, testing results, and vial tracking. Ensure medical forms, EMR notes, lab results, consents, and trackers are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Lead efforts to implement new protocols, workflows, and technologies. Review task queues including refill, prior auth, and 'To Do' requests to ensure timely resolution across providers. Assist with auditing inventory and consumables related to allergy services and procedures. Serve as point person for HIPAA compliance, patient confidentiality, and incident reporting in the allergy clinical space. May assist at the front desk or as needed. Maintain communication with leadership to align clinical operations with company mission and values. Other duties as assigned by supervisor on an as needed basis. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; allergy experience strongly preferred. Medical Assistant Certification preferred. CPR and AED certification required. EMR and patient scheduling system experience preferred. Proficient in allergy testing (skin prick, patch, spirometry) and immunotherapy workflows. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Professional, reliable, adaptable, and committed to high-quality patient care. Strong multitasking and critical thinking abilities.
