Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesEchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer Intern. This position will be located at our office in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models on a Creo CAD system, generate detailed drawings, perform product testing, build prototypes, generate reports, and give presentations
- Perform thermal and structural simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools
Skills, Experience and RequirementsEducation and Experience:
- GPA 3.3 or above
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a related field of study
- Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026
Skills and Qualifications:
- Created mechanical design using 3D CAD system such as Creo or SolidWorks
- Hands-on experience in building prototypes
- Completed coursework in solid mechanics and heat transfer
- Experience and fluency in using Finite Element Analysis tools to perform thermal or structural simulation
- Background in electrical circuit

Salary RangesCompensation: $51,000.00/Year - $73,000.00/Year
