Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate vague or complex business requirements into clear technical roadmaps. Communicate risks, timelines, and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Own the end-to-end architecture. Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and make high-level design choices for both frontend and backend systems.
- Build highly responsive UIs usingReact.js. You must be an expert in state management (Redux) and handling side effects (Redux-Saga) to manage complex data flows.
- Integrate and customize map solutions (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, or Leaflet) for complex data visualization and tracking features
- Design and deploy robust APIs usingNode.jsandPythonwithin a serverless environment (AWS Lambda).
- Query data effectively using Snowflakefor analytical workloads and model and query data effectively usingDynamoDB(NoSQL) for operational data.
- Utilizing modernAI-assisted workflowsto drive efficiency.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
- Deep understanding of the Virtual DOM, Hooks, and Component lifecycles
- Expert-level knowledge of Redux and middleware like Redux-Saga.
- Proven hands-on experience implementing Google Maps API or OpenStreetMaps in a production environment. You should understand layers, markers, clusters, and geospatial data formats (GeoJSON).
- Proficiency in both Python and Node.js for backend logic.
- Strong experience with Cloud Providers (AWS preferred, but GCP/Azure acceptable).
- Experience with AWS Lambda (or Google Cloud Functions/Azure Functions).
- Experience writing queries for Snowflake or SQL
- Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (Gemini, Copilot, Amazon Q, Kiro) to improve velocity and code quality.
- Engineering degree with around 10-12 years of experience in desiging, developing and technically leading the team
- Good understanding of DevOps principles and familiarity to tools like Gitlab, Jira
Leadership & Soft Skills
- You are still hands-on. You are a team player. You dont' hesitate to take the hardest problems in the sprint.
- Ability to break down complex, ambiguous requirements into actionable tasks for junior/mid-level engineers.
- You can explain a technical blocker to a Product Manager without drowning them in jargon.
- You are self motivated and who is known for ownership and accountability of the work and doesn't require any supervision
