Job Description As an integral part of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for a variety of essential duties that ensure the well-being of our furry patients. Your role will include, but is not limited to: Safely restraining pets during examinations and procedures. Triage of incoming patients and managing their care. Collecting and analyzing lab samples. Assisting in diagnostic imaging and surgical preparation. Providing nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with various stability levels. Administering medications and communicating treatment plans effectively to clients. Managing anesthetic protocols with care and precision. Note: This position requires the ability to handle challenging situations, including exposure to unpleasant odors, noise, bites, and animal waste. A willingness to learn and grow in your role is essential. Qualifications: We seek candidates who possess the following: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant is essential. Confidence in restraint techniques, conducting lab work, and assisting with procedures. Weekend availability for some shifts is necessary. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail. Familiarity with preventative care practices, surgical support, and clinic operations.
