PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Lead-to-Cash (L2C) Business Systems Analyst is key in handling CFDI invoice error processes, from detection to correction, and implementing revenue controls. This role includes requirement analysis, testing L2C applications, and addressing production issues to improve L2C and related technologies. With growing experience, the Analyst will handle more sophisticated tasks with greater independence. Collaboration with Customer Billing, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Management, Finance, and IT is crucial for technology-driven process optimization. The role supports multiple L2C systems within CPKC, such as SAP S4, SAP TM, ECC, CRM, Customer Portal, and various finance and order management systems, requiring excellent service, relationship-building, and partnership.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Handle CFDI processes including error triage, correction, and SAT compliance
- Implement revenue controls in SAP S4 BRIM and generate reports using SAP Analytics Cloud
- Support and maintain L2C systems (SAP S4 BRIM, ECC, Transportation Management, CPKC Portals, proprietary systems)
- Capture requirements through different methods including interviews and workflow analysis
- Analyze system issues and recommend solutions
- Analyze and document business processes to identify automation potential; assist in developing support for the business case.
- Conduct testing, communicate performance issues, and supervise resolutions
- Identify and document system requirements and coordinate workshops with IS and business team members to validate requirements.
- Develop interpersonal, process, and customer knowledge to solve problems; receive moderate mentorship.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours if needed.
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle team member expectations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Management, or Information Technology related discipline.
- Experience with SAP Modules with preference for SAP S4 Hana – BRIM (CI & FICA)
- Experience with CFDI (Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet) and Mexican Tax Administration (SAT)
- Skilled in effective communication, with strong writing and speaking abilities to address internal and external information requests.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong problem solving, interpersonal and planning skills
- Good communication skills in both English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
Nice to have:
- Experience within the rail transportation industry and rail pricing strategies
- Business analysis or project management, or equivalent experience
- Process mapping and project management methodology.
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and/or SAP Business Objects
- Working with business stakeholders regarding process, procedure and policy development or creation
- Knowledge of EDI (404,417,410,426,REN)
