The Opportunity
Adobe's real-time customer data platform (RTCDP) is used today by a majority of Fortune 500 brands to build customer profiles to power real-time experiences. Digital marketing operators use RTCDP in their solution architecture for unifying cross-channel data into real-time customer and account profiles that are ready for activation anywhere - all while respecting customer preferences.
Earlier this year, we announced an exciting new feature called RTCDP Collaboration that will allow Advertisers and Agencies to exchange audience data securely with Publishers allowing for end-to-end marketing workflows from audience creation, sharing, and measurement.
We are looking for an exceptional leader to evolve our strategy and execution of cloud data sharing and compute technologies across various areas, including personalization, measurement, and planning.
What you'll Do
- Hire, lead, and mentor a diverse engineering team of world-class data and server-side software engineers to build and enhance the RTCDP Collaboration product to service Publishers, Agencies, and Advertisers.
- Establish strong partnerships with multi-functional teams including product management and design to drive product vision, roadmap, and business strategy.
- Set the technical direction for your team partnering with all collaborators to identify gaps and areas of improvement on software, tools, and processes, with a mentality towards scale.
- Create and instill a team culture that focuses on sound scientific processes and encourages deep engagement with our customers.
- Create an engineering culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high-quality products with predictability and reliability.
- Handle project scope and risks with data, analytics, and creative problem-solving.
- Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery.
- Own end-to-end availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Lead by example, mentor the team, and establish credibility through quality technical execution.
What you need to succeed
- 10+ years of leading and managing engineering teams with 10 or more members while fostering an innovative and collaborative environment.
- Track record of delivering cloud-scale, data-driven products and services that are widely adopted with large customer bases.
- Software engineering experience across a broad range of fields including cloud platforms, distributed computing, networking, operating systems, and web services.
- Problem-solving with technically complex systems. For example, where multiple root causes may present in the same way, or where solving a problem may require short-term mitigations, long-term implementation, and process changes.
- Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including Ad Tech, customer data platforms, and campaign measurement.
- A steadfast pursuit of great customer experiences and continuous improvements to the product.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent speaking, writing, and presentation skills, and the ability to persuade, encourage, and empower others.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical internal collaborators and customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including concise writing on technical topics.
- Experience supporting production services and systems, including on-call rotations and playbooks.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field of study.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $174,100-$346,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
